Bureau of Justice Assistance’s (BJA) FY 2008 Adult Drug Court Planning Initiative (DCPI)
BJA is collaborating with the National Drug Court Institute to provide these training programs. The programs are designed to give your community the fundamentals of planning and implementing a drug court. Currently, trainings are being planned for Adult Drug Courts only. Teams will attend one, five-day training to be conducted in February or March of 2008. It is critical that all team members attend the training program. Your community may apply to participate in the FY 2008 Adult DCPI training program by completing an online application at https://www.dcpi-registration.org/Application/ApplicationStart.aspx. The 14th National TASC Conference on Drugs and Crime: Connecting with our Communities for Successful Recovery and Reentry will be held in Westminster, Colorado on October 14-17, 2007 at the Westin Westminster Hotel. Acclaimed speakers, workshops, pre-conference training, networking opportunities and exhibits feature adult, juvenile and community partnerships to restore individuals in the justice system. Practitioners in the fields of community corrections, probation, problem-solving courts, juvenile justice, substance abuse, mental health and reentry support will find new ideas and practical applications to help them apply evidence based principles to their work. This outstanding event will occur in the beautiful mountain-view setting of the Westin Westminster Hotel, with easy access to the Denver airport.
